Today I’m grateful for completion. I woke up a bit later than usual—6 AM—but my focus was sharp and steady. I completed the final round of edits for my children’s book, More Than a Conqueror, written for young people between the ages of 11 and 18. I also revisited a draft from more than a year ago that captures my journey in a smaller story designed for children five and up.
As I went through both manuscripts, I made sure they aligned with the broader vision of The Thriver’s Path™—to meet people at every stage of their growth journey. I spent part of the day developing website collateral and sent both drafts to my publisher and editor to work their magic. I finished my day just before 7 PM, grateful and at peace with the work.
Last August, I met with a local CEO from a legacy St. Louis family who had read Twice Over a Man. He asked what my plans were next. I shared my goal—to create collateral for every age group and a leadership curriculum for professionals who feel stuck but want to rise. He told me, “It’s not about reaching 10,000 people; it’s about reaching the right 100—or the right 500.” That insight stayed with me.
Today, as I reflect on this year’s progress—reaching over 3,000 book buyers and preparing to release new products into the marketplace—I’m grateful for how far I’ve come. I may not be exactly on my original schedule, but I’m on purpose. The work is coming full circle.
