Today I’m grateful for how I used my time on the plane. I hopped on a flight to Boston to spend about a week in the area, and during the two-hour flight, I made meaningful progress on something that’s been on my list since late August — revising the draft of my children’s book.
Out of 110 pages, I reviewed about 80. That felt good. It felt productive.
When I edit, I use a process that helps me focus deeply — I have the document read aloud to me while I read along. It’s almost like running two checks at once: I can see and hear what works, what flows, and what needs to be refined. It’s one of the ways I do my best thinking.
I’m truly excited about this children’s book. It’s an opportunity to translate the core messages of Twice Over a Man for a younger audience — lessons that apply whether you’re a child, a student, or deep into your career.
Lately, I’ve been in a season of growth — working hard to honor time and make sure each moment yields something meaningful.
