Gratitude Focus: Grateful For A Full Week And A Full Life

Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:

This morning, I’m sitting at the corner of my orange leather couch, looking out across the lake from my conference room. Sade is playing softly in the background, and my fingers are dancing across my iPad as I write this gratitude post. In a few minutes, I’ll head to a friend’s home for breakfast and connection. But for now, I’m just sitting—in the moment, with intermittent thoughts and glances out the window at a peaceful and lovely sight.

To my right is a whiteboard, full of scribbled plans and priorities in blue, orange, and red—visions for the year, big ideas waiting to take flight. I’m grateful for a full week. But more than that, I’m grateful for a full life—a life grounded in purpose.

Yesterday, from this same spot, I had a coaching session with someone I mentor. We talked about the value of pausing, of sitting in the presence of God, and letting Him center us. Of allowing God to guide our time, focus our energy, and remind us to keep a portion of that energy for ourselves.
