This morning I opened a small square package—light, almost unassuming. I shook it gently, trying to guess what someone had sent. Inside was a single copy of Twice Over a Man. That alone isn’t unusual. People often order copies and have them shipped to my P.O. Box for pickup.
But what was unusual—and what stopped me—was the cover.
For the first time, I saw the international Readers’ Favorite Book Award logo printed on the hard copy. I paused. I held it. I let it sink in. Seeing that seal in real life, embossed on a story born out of pain, prayer, and persistence, was a moment I didn’t expect today. It was a quiet reminder that God can take what we survived and turn it into something that blesses others.
Nice surprises don’t just brighten your morning—they expand your gratitude.
