Gratitude Focus: I’m Grateful That God Gives Each Of Us A Unique Vision

Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:

God doesn’t give everyone your vision. That’s why I’ve learned to write mine in several places — at home, at work, and even electronically. Wherever I go, I can see pieces of what I’m pursuing. These “breadcrumbs” keep me grounded when I’m frustrated, tired, or surrounded by others who may not yet see or catch the vision.

Over time, I’ve realized that because I sit with vision constantly, I’m always pregnant with it — thinking about it, turning it over, and refining it. But not everyone is wired that way. Some people need time to connect to the vision, and that’s okay. When the light finally comes on for them, it’s incredible to witness.

Writing my vision in simple, scriptural language reminds me that direction matters more than speed. The vision may evolve as I learn more, but the destination stays the same. And that’s how I can hold a vision for years while others might run through visions like tissue paper — I’ve written it, internalized it, and disciplined myself to stay focused. Everything I do must connect to that vision, whether it’s in banking, writing, or encouraging others.

“Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it”
