Gratitude Focus: Live Music

Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:

Last night, after a full day of moving and work, we decided to go to a DC establishment, JoJo’s. This was my second time visiting the spot. This time, we were able to sit on the first floor; there’s also an upper level. When you walk in, you go down a level into a brick-encased basement—dark, with good ambiance and music either piped through the speakers or played by live bands.

We got there about three-quarters through the first act’s set, ordered food and drinks, and relaxed for 90 minutes. We had some small talk with the table next to ours, as they were trying to fit five people into a table designed for four. The matriarch commented, “Yes, we even had an Uber that was only designed for four people, including the driver.” So, you guessed it—she continued, “We had to lap up.”
