Today, I delivered a keynote for an organization called PreventEd, which focuses on substance use prevention and education — a tough subject on any day.
My energy was a little off because it’s been a long week, and I told my wife I gave myself maybe a C+ for the delivery.
As I prepared, I thought a lot about my own journey with alcohol.
In that room, for the first time in a public setting, I tried to bear witness to that journey — to be honest about where I’ve been and what I’ve learned.
It wasn’t a perfect delivery, but it was real.
I hope you’ll read my full Sunday reflection, which will be inspired by the conversation I had with PreventEd.
