Gratitude Focus: Life

Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:

Today, I’m grateful for life. My cup just runneth over.

It’s been an incredibly busy week, one that’s required more focus than usual. I’m generally pretty locked in, but this week called for even more. More decisions. More responsibilities. More presence. And in the midst of it all, I see God moving. I see God working in St. Louis. I see God working in me. I see God working in my home. I see God working in our business.

I’m in awe of what He allows me to do. Because the truth is, I’m not supposed to be here, not by the world’s standards. I’ve defied so many odds. It’s nothing but God. He gives me strength. He positions the right people in my life. He opens doors I couldn’t open on my own. I’m honored. I’m humbled. I’m grateful.

This week I’ve been pulled on quite a bit, far beyond the usual. I had a quick 15- to 20-minute call with an intern, but there were so many moments like that, where it felt like a thousand people needed 15–20 minutes all at once. And somehow, God gave me the mental bandwidth to accommodate. God gave me the grace to be patient. God slowed me down to speed me up. I can’t explain it.

And in the middle of all that pouring out, I realized, I need something too. I need to keep relying on God. Because He hasn’t failed me. Not once. He continues to give me the strength, the focus, and the clarity to deposit the right message into the right person at the right time.

So yes, today, I’m just grateful for life.

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” —Psalm 73:26
