Gratitude Focus: I’m grateful for the clarity to prioritize myself and invest in support.

Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:

This weekend, I sat with myself and made some big decisions. One of the biggest was deciding to finally prioritize me a little more. For too long, I’ve been trying to carry everything God has placed in me—leading at the bank, birthing vision, and at the same time growing my side hustle of encouraging others through books and curriculum—without enough support.

When you’re in that space, you’re not always thinking about the outlay of your health. You’re only thinking about the outlay of capital—what it’s going to cost in real dollars. But the truth is, the biggest cost when you try to scale alone is your time and your health.

Here’s the realization I came to: if what you’re building has marketplace value, at some point you have to invest in the systems, the processes, and the people to help you achieve it. If you don’t, it’s not really a side hustle—it’s just an expensive hobby.

So I decided to make that investment. And I’m grateful, because it will bring more organization, give me back time, and allow me to focus on the things only I can do.

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”

— Proverbs 16:3

Faithful planning isn’t just about hard work—it’s about alignment, trust, and building the right support around you.
