Gratitude Focus: I’m Grateful For The Selection Of Two Personal Assistants

Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:

Over the past couple of weeks, I put out a call for a personal assistant. This was something I had been thinking about for a while, but last weekend I woke up early with it heavy on my heart. I sat down and published the job description because I knew it was time.

This decision is about more than just help—it’s about creating margin and scale for the vision God has placed in me. To get that vision out of me and into the world, I need people around me—those inside the bank and those in my personal life—who bring the right support and energy.

We received about 30 applications, narrowed down to five interviews, and each person was impressive. Interestingly, out of the total five who interviewed, two found an opportunity with me and at least one may still find opportunities within the bank—which is a blessing in itself.

Today I’m in a spirit of gratitude because the right people are coming alongside to help carry this vision forward. It’s a little scary—it’s an investment—but growth requires creating margin. And margin requires good people.

“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.”
