Gratitude Focus: Today, I’m Grateful For People Who Say Yes

Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:

I spent time today thinking about the two books I have launching soon. Though they’re separate, they’re deeply connected. Ward of the State is written for ages 5–10, and More Than a Conqueror is for ages 11–18. Both books reflect the heart of The Thriver’s Path™ and the message I’ve been sharing for the past 30 years—about transformation, resilience, and the power of owning your story.

What moved me today was how many people I reached out to for endorsements simply said yes. No hesitation. No conditions. Just yes. Many haven’t even seen the full manuscripts yet—just two sample chapters in the endorsement packet—but they still believe in the work enough to stand with it.

I’m grateful for that kind of faith and affirmation. It’s a reminder that when you walk in purpose and consistency, people recognize the sincerity behind what you do—and they show up for it.

“In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
— Romans 8:37

Who has said yes to you without needing all the details—and how might you honor their belief in you this week?

Question for Reflection

Hi, I’m Orvin Kimbrough, volunteer, board director, chairman, and CEO. I help professionals move from feeling stuck to being strengthened by reshaping how they think, lead, and live. My work focuses on confidence, leadership, and influence through mindset shifts, expanded networks, and bold, values-aligned action. My perspective is rooted in lived experience, from growing up in foster care to leading complex institutions as a CEO and shaped by faith, resilience, and a deep belief in human potential.
