Gratitude Focus: Seed

Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:

We had our monthly fireside chat today—something I pushed for back in 2019 when I realized how hard it would be to connect with all of our locations in person timely. I wanted to create a forum that made engagement easy. We adopted the technology... and then the pandemic hit. It was as if that move was prophetic.

But this isn’t about tech. It’s about vision. After the meeting today, I spoke with several leaders who had seen what once seemed like a disconnected strategy come to life.

Early in my leadership, I used the words often: Seed. Time. Harvest.
I am grateful for seed—the basics of strategy, the spark of an idea, the investment of thinking time and energy when there's no immediate return.

Time is needed to attract the right people, execute the plan, and build momentum. But here's the thing: I never wait for time to “arrive” before planting seed.

Did you catch that?
Seed is planted with an expectation that time will do its part.

As I write, I’m listening to Look to the Son by Hillsong Worship. And harvest, my friend? Harvest is ongoing—if the seed was good and the time was patient.

What seed do you need to plant today with the faith that time and intention will bring a harvest?
