Gratitude Focus: I’m grateful my daughter was accepted into Howard University.

Reflection/Why I’m Grateful:

Last week, I got the call—my daughter got into Howard. We moved her to D.C. before things were finalized, trusting the process. Now she’s set to be part of a nurturing, challenging HBCU community that will help shape her into the powerful leader she’s meant to become. I’m so proud, and even more excited because she’s excited, as shown by the many posts and text messages she’s sending about this next leg of her journey.

“Train up a child in the way they should go; even when they are old,

they will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6
